In 2018, the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle (Denmark’s National Portrait Gallery), held the artist’s first mid-career retrospective, comprising 50 works drawn from collections from around the world. The exhibition was attended by the Danish Royal family and officially opened by Queen Margrethe II. To accompany the exhibition, the Museum commissioned the artist to produce a new portrait of Crown Prince Frederik, who unveiled the work at the opening to coincide with celebrations for his 50th birthday.
